I bought this for my 6 year old daughter and it was a good way for her to learn how to knit. The very chunky pink yarn and the huge needles were perfectly sized for little hands. I must say that our success with this product was due in large part to the youtube video from AlexToys explaining visually how to cast on and knit. The video was excellent and my daughter knitted her scarf in no time. (I also learned how to knit from the video!) Her friends are now interested in making the same scarf. If you have a son who doesn’t like the bright pink color, you can always buy any super bulky yarn and very large needles and then just watch the video.

This was a gift for my nephew. This was his first Halloween that he may someday remember. He is very particular about how things feel and putting things on his face. I had to keep this in mind while looking for a costume. I asked his mother what shows he likes hoping that if I purchased a costume of one of his favorite character, he would wear it. He knew exactly who it was when the box arrived, but he did not want to put it on. By the time Halloween came, he put on the costume and was very cute. He loves this costume. Our little ones really enjoy this village of fun. It’s so big that we only put up parts of it they can developmentally enjoy. They aren’t big enough or skilled enough to enjoy the hoops just yet, so we will pull those parts out later. To that end, it stores very easily under a couch or bed. The structure is durable, from the standpoint of it’s not easily damaged, but our one-year-olds can flatten tent sections with no effort. We can touch it in certain places and it folds in on itself. It frequently collapses with pressure and sometimes the kids are inside–which isn’t a huge problem as it is open from the bottom. It’s easy to retrieve them. They frequently get pinned by the frame when it flattens, as they segué from one section to another via the tubing. They don’t enjoy that very much. So… while they are old enough to enjoy playing in various sections, it easily folds in on them or under them. And now that they have figured out how to fold it, that’s all they want to do with it. We’re not very happy with that aspect, and hope that as they age they will appreciate it more for it’s standing ‘play fortress’ capacities. I do recommend it or a smaller version of it. They enjoy playing with it, just not necessarily as intended. Be vigilant that it will flatten easily, to no detriment, but still…

I ordered this game from Amazon for Christmas, and it never came, and they could not reorder it. So, I purchased it from a local educational toy store. We love it! Ours is a bit more durable than that shown (our case is metal with felt lining)and the number tiles are more like glass than what is pictured here. Everyone loved playing it. Compared to some Barbies I have purchased this one is much higher quality. Granddaughter loves it and has been playing with it and the accessories non-stop for days now.
I personally found the packaging to be frustrating. Every last little item strapped down with elastic or tape so everything was picture perfect in the box.
This Barbie has a “grow hair” feature that has take a while for my 5 year old granddaughter to figure out. At first she wanted to cut the strings so she could brush the hair but she seems to have figured it out.

Ever since our visit to the Pandas at the National Zoo, my 6-year old daughter is hooked on Pandas. Now our one-year old’s favorite pasttime is to lie face down on Xie-Xie and furiously pump his legs while laughing. We never fail to crack up (he’s holding his head up, so don’t worry about his air passage!).
